I am the Founder and CEO of Wolven. We create sustainable activewear and swimwear and are committed to challenging the status quo of boring, generic clothing and the harmful impacts of the fast fashion industry. Our mission is to empower Gen Z and Millennials to make healthier choices for themselves and the world around them.

Growing up with Hindu and Muslim parents, inclusivity and South Asian culture have always been a deep part of my life. I spent my summers traveling to Pakistan, and fell in love with Eastern patterns, textiles, and sewing my own clothing. I founded Wolven as a space to bring together what I love most: self-expression, celebrating differences, and protecting the environment.

With those values in mind, Wolven was built on the ground IRL by connecting with customers while vending at yoga and music festivals. Our Wolfpack is a community of artists, activists, yogis, fashion enthusiasts, and so many more who value clothing as a form of expression while also protecting the planet.

For Direct to Consumer brands like us, there always seems to be new marketing tools, trends, and tricks to help you grow your business. It can be challenging to know what strategies actually work, or what platforms will actually pay off. What I’ve learned over the years is that overall what helps us the most is sticking to our roots and doubling down on our values: creating beautiful clothes, promoting sustainability, and connecting with our community.

Overall, our community has been loyal to our brand and product because we have stayed true to our mission that we’ve been able to grow into the community-based brand we are today. My goal is to continue to grow that community as much as we can.
