Growing up in a traditional Eastern European society, I always questioned the rigid expectations placed on women because I could never seem to fit into them. This left me feeling like an outcast, constantly second-guessing myself and my place in the world. To cope, I made myself small, dimming my light so that others would feel comfortable around me, believing this would help me belong.
I was married for 18 years, and while it wasn’t always bad, I didn’t fully understand the depth of the issues until I began to heal my inner child and childhood wounds in 2019 when I started writing my workbook. It was during this healing process that I realized I had been operating from a place of pain, filtering my life through the belief that being my full, authentic self was shameful, too emotional, and too much to handle. These wounds shaped how I saw myself and how I navigated my relationships.
I have experienced many unexpected events that shaped who I am. One major life-changing moment happened during the financial crash in 2009. I was six months pregnant. I lost my job, and with it, the fragile sense of security I had been clinging to. This period of despair forced me to confront the deep-seated beliefs that had been driving my life choices. I realized that I had been conforming to societal expectations rather than pursuing my true desires.
As I worked through my pain and began to heal, I embraced authenticity as my greatest strength. Today, I help my clients find their path to authenticity. By shedding the layers of fear and conformity, we can live lives that are aligned with our true selves, unapologetically and fully. This journey isn’t easy, but it brings profound transformation and fulfillment.
