Anxiety has been my companion for as long as I can remember, lurking in the corners of my mind and making its presence felt in the very core of my being. I have always been aware of it, but it wasn't until it started to manifest physically through increased heart rate and panic attacks that I knew I had to find a way to confront and conquer it.
I began my quest for a solution by diving deep into the world of anxiety management. I tried everything, but nothing gave me complete control or a full understanding of what was happening to my body. That's when I stumbled upon the concept of biofeedback and found that I could use technology to better understand and control the physical manifestations of my anxiety and train myself to calm down.
Biofeedback technology has always intrigued me, and I knew it had the potential to be a powerful tool in the battle against anxiety. I envisioned a device that could serve as a bridge between the mind and body, providing real-time feedback to help users gain control over their physiological responses. This was the genesis of Reflect.
Reflect was born from my personal journey with anxiety and my passion for leveraging technology to improve mental health. I wanted Reflect to be a companion, a non-judgmental ally in the fight against anxiety. Users can see their stress and anxiety levels in real-time, represented by a calming light ring and data analytics that go directly to an app on your phone. It’s a tangible manifestation of what you are going through, allowing you to guide yourself back to a state of calm.
Today, Reflect works with therapists, clinics and other mental health professionals to help their clients take control of their mental well-being.
