INTENTIONAL LEADERSHIP, POWER TOOLS IN THE SPOTLIGHT AT TAKE THE LEAD’S “POWER UP CONFERENCE” FOR WOMEN
Loaded with Information, the Custom Attendee App Will Promote Networking Before and During The Conference
Scottsdale, AZ – January 30, 2020 – Take The Lead (https://www.taketheleadwomen.com) today announced its inaugural “Power Up Conference: Igniting The Intentional Leader Within” (https://whova.com/web/takel_202002/), February 28th-29th, 2020 at The Scottsdale Plaza Resort.
At the conference, women will receive tools and ground-level tactics they can immediately implement in their professional lives. Workshops, panel discussions, lightning talks and roundtables will highlight ways women can overcome obstacles and reach their next level of success. There will be ample time for networking with both speakers and fellow attendees. In addition, the conference will bring together for the first time all of the cohorts from Take The Lead's 50 Women Can Change the World (https://www.50womencan.com/main) training and coaching program in multiple industries.
"Our conference will provide attendees real-world opportunities to reach career breakthroughs by developing and applying their power," says Gloria Feldt, co-founder and president of Take The Lead. "Take The Lead's mission is to achieve gender parity by 2025, and with the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote as well as Women's History Month in March, this is the perfect time to have such an event."
Tickets are $99 until February 1st; $139 from February 1st-15th; and $179 from February 15th onward. The fees will cover the conference program as well as lunch and light refreshments. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-power-up-conference-tickets-89308902331.
An information-rich conference app (https://whova.com/portal/takel_202002/?source=download_email) – now live – allows participants to network before, during, and after the conference, receive presentation documents, view the event agenda, plan their schedule and social activities, and get organizer updates. "The beauty of the app is that women can start connecting with other women before the event," says Felicia Davis, CEO and leadership brand strategist, The Black Women's Collective and a Take The Lead leadership ambassador who is in charge of the conference. "We want the attendees to start developing long-term, mutually beneficial relationships. The app is a great way to start the process."
Guiding Women on Their Leadership Journey
An international leadership expert, Feldt will deliver the keynote "Intentional Woman: Be Bold and Carry Out". The address will introduce nine new Take The Lead Leadership Power Tools, which give women immediately usable ways to navigate the world and drive needed changes. Davis will conduct a much in-demand advanced session on self-branding.
Speakers will include some of the nation's leading voices on diversity, women's leadership, economics and wealth, feminism and entrepreneurship. Among them is Nancy O'Reilly, PsyD, the founder of Women Connect4Good, a non-profit, and Take The Lead's board president. "From the moment I first met Gloria, I knew she and I were in total alignment regarding gender parity in women's leadership, so it was a given that I would participate in Take The Lead's conference," she says. "I am looking forward to sharing my insights on how women can support each other, especially now, when women's rights are so threatened."
