And here is what I know from being a leader and working to advance women in society as well as the workplace: Women need each other. We need to learn the stories about how other women succeeded, the barriers they faced and how they overcame them. We need to know the barriers that our sisters and friends didn’t overcome, or didn’t overcome the first time, or the second, or the tenth, but finally on the eleventh attempt, succeeded.

Often times, when given the choice to climb that 20 foot ladder and take the leap off the high dive, we either don’t climb, or we get to the top and really want to jump, but instead, back down the ladder out of fear. If we do take that leap with laser sharp focus and commitment, the lessons we learn on our way into the water are invaluable…and worth it!
Why is feminism becoming the new ‘F word?

Men should not receive higher wages than the woman who holds the same position and women should have full rights over their own bodies, careers and home lives. This has nothing to do with hating men or being discriminatory; it is merely a movement that seeks to push for a gender equitable society. As Seinfeld would say, “Not that there’s anything wrong with that.”
