Omnicom Launches Omniwomen In The UK To Identify Rising Female Stars
Identify a gap and take direct action: this is how companies move the dial for women’s leadership. Omnicom, one of the world’s leading marketing services groups, announced this month that it will bring Omniwomen, an initiative to increase the number and influence of female leaders in the Omnicom network, to the UK.
Omnicom EVP Janet Riccio started the program when she noticed women were underrepresented in Omnicom University’s Advanced Management Program. Riccio has called women’s advancement “a business imperative,” noting: “Diverse and inclusive management teams and boards financially outperform those that are not. In today’s economy, an inclusive workplace is a competitive advantage.” Omniwomen has already held events in the US and China, and according to Riccio, Omnicom plans to continue expanding the program to “as many markets as possible.”
