Take the Lead Women Learning Channel To Be On sageCrowd

Launch of the channel slated during Women’s History Month

Gloria Feldt, author and Co-Founder of Take the Lead, announced today the launch of the Gloria Feldt -Take The Lead Channel on sageCrowd, the online social learning network for professional development. The channel is now open for advance registration, and the first lesson will appear in mid-March to coincide with Women’s History Month. Subscription for the channel is $14.95 per month or $129 per year. All author fees from the channel will be contributed to the nonprofit women’s leadership parity initiative, Take The Lead.

For women looking to advance their career in any organization, the channel will offer new concepts and skills to help them move into and succeed in leadership roles. The channel’s lessons are based on Feldt’s book ’No Excuses: 9 Ways Women Can Change How We Think About Power’ and programs from the Take The Lead Teaches programming. The organization, founded in late 2012, will have its Take The Lead Challenge public launch event on February 19, 2014, at Arizona State University and livestreamed free everywhere.  Feldt is a popular public speaker, former CEO of Planned Parenthood Federation of America and a professor at Arizona State University.

“We’re excited to announce the Gloria Feldt Take the Lead Channel on sageCrowd,” says Sean Sears, co-founder and Chair. “Leadership parity between the sexes is one of the great shifts required for our society to evolve. Gloria is a brilliant writer and leader who’s dedicated her career to making this parity real. We’re honored to be selected to play a role in accelerating this change.”

Take The Lead’s mandate is to prepare, develop, inspire, and propel women to take their fair and equal share of leadership positions across all sectors by 2025. The channel will contain concepts and skills for women at all stages – women still in university and looking to map out their careers, those in mid-career positions and women already in leadership roles.

“I think sageCrowd’s social network is a great way to teach women everywhere my concepts and skills from ‘No Excuses’ and from Take The Lead’s learning programs,” says Gloria Feldt. “One of our key mandates is to teach, connect and inspire women to embrace their “power to” take leadership roles, and sageCrowd’s innovative social tools and groups let women connect and synergize wherever they are.”
