Dr. Uché Blackstock is the Founder and CEO of Advancing Health Equity, which partners with healthcare organizations to address the critical factors contributing to health inequity, through talks, educational trainings and racial equity culture analytics. Dr. Blackstock recently left NYU School of Medicine after almost 10 years, where she was an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at NYU School of Medicine and the Faculty Director for Recruitment, Retention and Inclusion in the School's Office of Diversity Affairs, to focus on her company. Dr. Blackstock received both her undergraduate (1999) and medical (2005) degrees from Harvard University.
Jennifer Block is the author of Everything Below The Waist: Why Health Care Needs a Feminist Revolution. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post Magazine, The Cut, Newsweek, The Daily Beast, The Los Angeles Times, and many other publications. Her first book, Pushed, led a wave of attention to the national crisis in maternity care and was named a "Best Book of 2007" by Kirkus Reviews. A reporter with Type Investigations, Block won several awards for her investigative reporting on the permanent contraceptive implant Essure, which has since been discontinued. She is a facilitator with The OpEd Project and lives in Brooklyn, NY, with her son.

As the Associate Director of Creative Services and Talent Engagement at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, she produced, directed, and wrote the majority of their video content, and managed their celebrity supporters. Prior to that, she worked in film and television production in New York, with notable directors and actors. Her work has been featured on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, CNN, ABC, HuffPo, Jezebel, Fox, etc. Today, she heads video for SHE Media, which includes BlogHer, Stylecaster, Soaps.com, HelloFlo and SheMediacom.
